Our Story

Today, SustainableTourismColombia.org has reached the hearts of thousands of travelers worldwide who visited Colombia. However, every success story has its own starting point. Did you know that SustainableTourismColombia.org was born after a trip its founder took to Europe, specifically to Düsseldorf, Germany, where he came to understand the natural and cultural wealth of Colombia? And that he returned with the sole purpose of creating the best travel agency in Colombia based on sustainable development? This is our story.

Our Roots

Jeinner Sánchez Delgado founded SustainableTourismColombia.org in 2020. In its early stages, he worked for over a decade in the Colombian inbound tourism sector as a tour guide, receptionist, B2C and B2B travel seller, auditor, travel designer, and tourism product coordinator. Pereira Risaralda, the city where Jeinner was raised, is a place that blends Antioquian and Caucasian culture, coffee, and modernity. However, it has been a city with high unemployment rates, prostitution, and microtrafficking.

For this reason, Jeinner had to emigrate to Europe in search of better opportunities and embark on new projects, characteristic of the coffee-growing Pereira residents. Years later, he returned to Pereira with everything he learned from German culture and put it into practice. He studied sustainable tourism management at the University of Pereira and reached the pinnacle of inbound tourism in Colombia, a field dominated by foreigners.

Now, not only is he one of the first Colombians to represent Colombia abroad, but many Colombians from different regions are offering the best tourism products from Colombia on an international level.

Purpose of the Project as a DMC Travel Agency

Our purpose is to ensure a journey of reflection with nature and humanity within each traveler, inspired by the place they are in.

As Colombia is the most biodiverse country in the world, we can optimize this journey and be the best tool for visiting the top tourist attractions in each Colombian region, leading to reflection on the world and nature from within.

We offer several decades of experience, starting from the limited tourism that was possible when Colombia had high levels of internal armed conflict, through the peace process, and now making the most of the peace that can be felt in every corner of Colombia.
